Marking its 24th year, the Maui Onion Festival featured crowds, fun and robust competition. “We’re overcome by the turnout,” said Lisa Donlon, Marketing Manager, Whalers Village Fine Shops & Restaurants. Residents and visitors gathered at Whalers Village Fine Shops & Restaurants on Saturday, May 4, for an the opportunity to learn about the Valley Isle’s most famous vegetable with an all-day schedule that shined the spotlight on the infamous Maui Kula Onion.

For Immediate Release – KA’ANAPALI, Maui (April 2013) – On Saturday May 4, Whalers Village Shops & Restaurants at Ka’anapali Beach Resort hosts the Maui Onion Festival. The event showcases the Valley Isle’s own signature crop – the world famous Maui Onion.

The results of the Maui Onion Challenge held April 19th are in! The top four chefs move on to the finals scheduled for Saturday, May 4 at 10:30 am at the Maui Onion Festival, Center Stage.

Hula Grill Ka’anapali is partnering up with other local business to clean up Ka’anapali Beach on Earth Day. They are looking for volunteers to help out for an hour or two. Meet on the beach at Whalers Village at 10am.
